Six minis have enough sourced detail for their own page. Everyone else is a row here, and blank cells stay blank.

Why some names do not get a page

A detail page has to carry several facts that are not shared by half the list, plus a few hundred words that could only be about that paper. The Atlantic’s interesting limit is “three free puzzles, then a subscription,” but that was not enough distinct fields under the rule I used. Seattle’s game page was blocked by a wall when it was fetched, so size and archive stayed empty. I would rather show a short row than a page of guesses.

USA Today’s two-minute mini is free, ten answers, two minutes on the clock. Fox’s page says under three minutes, free, no account, and a date picker noted from 18 October 2026. Chicago’s mini is a free 5×5 associated with Kelsey Dixon. AARP’s Arkadium mini is described as friendly to beginners. Those sentences are the whole sourced story, so they live in this table and on the alternatives page, not as thin copies of each other.

No newspaper logos. The grid is only a size reference.

Questions

Which minis are free today?

LA Times, the current Boston Globe, both Post minis, the Guardian, today’s Puzzmo, USA Today, Fox, Chicago, and AARP are described as free to open. The Times mini is not. Globe and Mail asks for a login.

Which archives are free?

The Guardian’s series is. Ours is, for the dates we have published. LA Times is about two weeks. Several others lock the back catalog.

Where is the Times?

In the last row, linked to the paywall note. It is not filed as just another newspaper mini.
