How to make a mini crossword
Step one: choose 5×5 or 7×7 and switch the editor to Block mode and tap squares to set the pattern. Use Letter mode to enter answers. Every white square should belong to an across and a down answer; the editor checks this and rejects one-letter runs. Step two: fill every white square so both directions form words you can define. Step three: write the automatically numbered across and down clues. Step four: validate, then print a blank grid and clues followed by a separate answer key. The Share button creates a link containing the full puzzle, including its answers, for the recipient to edit or print. The structural checks catch empty squares and missing clues; you remain responsible for checking spelling and whether each clue fits its answer.
Crosshare is a free, no-ad, open-source place to construct and to solve, including a daily mini of its own. I checked their public homepage for that description. Puzzleritual publishes mini crosswords you can play or print. Its public page lists makers for word scrambles, jigsaws, and bingo, not a crossword constructor. An older note that called Puzzleritual a crossword maker was wrong, and I am not repeating it.
What this page will not do
It will not fill the grid from a newspaper. It will not call itself an AI maker. A search for a no-cost AI mini maker exists; shipping a chatbot that invents clues without a dictionary check would put broken crossings on the page. The daily puzzles here were accepted only when every entry was a word. Hold a homemade grid to the same test before you share it.

Questions
Do I need an account to make one?
No. Use the editor above, validate the puzzle, then print it. No account is required.
Can I make a 7×7?
Yes. Choose 7×7 in the editor, fill letters and clues, validate, then print or share.
Is Crosshare the same tool?
No. Crosshare is a community constructor. This page has a local 5×5 and 7×7 editor with blocks, letters, clues, structural validation and printing.
