Editorial policy

Facts about other puzzles come from public pages. Two independent sources count as checked. One source stays labeled. No source means a blank cell.

What we will publish

A number, a price, a size, or a clock needs a public page we can link. If two sources disagree, both stay in the table. The Times release time is the example: the help center says 10 p.m. Eastern, a third-party guide says midnight, and we do not blend them. The paywall day is the other example: USA TODAY names 26 August 2025, and other newsrooms say late August.

Our own puzzles are not “sourced” from a paper. They are the product. A grid ships when every entry is a word and every word has a clue. We do not publish Times answers. We do not estimate a file size, a rating, or an archive depth.

Corrections

If a linked page changes, the check date on our page is the date we looked. Email the contact address with the URL and the sentence you think is wrong. We would rather blank a cell than keep a tidy false one.

Questions

How are publisher details checked?

We compare public publisher pages, help articles, app-store listings and independent reporting. Multiple pages from one publisher count as one publisher, and single-source values are labeled.

Can you add a publisher page?

Only when the row has several facts that are not shared by everyone else, and enough to say that is not also true of the neighbors.

Sources

Public-source check: 2026-11-04. Pages from the same publisher count as one source.
