Do not merge the two boards

Searchers say “Washington Post mini” and land on different products. games.washingtonpost.com/games/daily-crossword-mini is the Arkadium daily. It is free and it is a single puzzle. The Post’s own Mini Meta, at the crossword-puzzles path, is a different idea: six small grids from Monday through Saturday. Princeton Alumni Weekly describes the 2021 launch. Pete Muller and Andrew White built it. Five meta words pulled from the first five grids become the fuel for Saturday. Frank Longo’s name shows up as a 3 November 2026 byline on an index of that day’s puzzles. That is a day credit, not a replacement for Muller and White as the creators.

I will not pick one of these and pretend the other does not exist. If a friend says the Post mini has a weekly twist, they mean the Meta. If they mean a quick Arkadium grid, there is no meta to solve.

What I am not filling in

Neither public page in the source set gave me a release clock or a clear archive depth, so those cells are empty. The news app is a news app. I did not find a crossword-only Post app to recommend, and I am not inventing one. Both products were described as free to open.

Our own puzzle is one 5×5 a day, including Sunday, with no weekly meta word. If the meta is the part you like, go to the Post. If you want a single free grid right now, use the board on our home page or the Arkadium link.
